Michiel started his career in financial services and worked for both the private and corporate markets. After a number of years he switched to marketing consultancy.
Michiel has been an independent entrepreneur since 2004 and has been advising companies on strategy development and the result-oriented organisation of marketing activities. He has successfully assisted many management teams in determining and realizing strategy and marketing optimizations. Michiel felt at home in the corporate environment as well as in non-profit and SME organisations.
In 2012 he wrote his first book: ‘Accountable Marketing: Accountability For Results Driven Marketing’. In his role of developing and realising a new business strategy, he uses his experience and vision to continually demonstrate results.
Michiel is an experienced consultant with a background in marketing and strategy. He has a successful career in activating untapped potential in companies. He has gained most of his experience in service organizations, but because of his background in the hospitality industry, he does not hesitate to take advantage of this experience in production environments.
Because his work always touched all levels of the organization, he is flexible and has insight into the motivation of team members in all layers of the organization. In his approach he is focused on the content and keeps an eye on individual possibilities.

In addition to his work as a consultant, Michiel uses his knowledge and experience for charities (including Stichting De Drevon and Stichting Sumbing Bibir).
He and his family have returned to the roots of his parents in the Valley and Rhine area in 2008. From their home in Bennekom he and his family enjoy their passion for horses. On the squash court, Michiel likes to go all the way out regularly to give everything and leave the court satisfied.
